Good Pitch at SOCAP10 : New host, new coast, new city!

We are delighted to announce the first US West Coast edition of the Good Pitch, hosted by the SOCAP10 conference in San Francisco on October 3, 2010.

SOCAP highlights the growing field of social capital: people investing to create social change. SOCAP’s goal is to make connections, to generate partnerships and to increase the acceleration of capital to social good.

Eight fantastic projects have been selected, including three Good Pitch alumni, presented as case studies outlining what they have achieved since their first Good Pitch and pitching new project goals.

The selected filmmakers are Francine Strickwerda (Oil & Water), Sean Fine & Andrea Nix Fine (Inocente), Jehane Noujaim (Barefoot Revolution), Megan Gelstein (Green Shall Overcome), Nicole Newnham & Maren Grainger-Monsen (The Revolutionary Optimists), Michael Brown (25 to Life), Roland Legiardi-Laura (To Be Heard) and Joe Wilson & Dean Hamer (Out in the Silence).

You can find out more about the event and the selected projects on the Good Pitch at SOCAP10 webpage: http://britdoc.org/real_good/socap
