Long Synopsis
How has an island of 4444 square miles with a population of under 3 million captivated the world with the unique music, religion and culture it has created as well as producing the fastest athletes and most beautiful women in the world? OnePeople will answer those questions through submissions from across the globe and interviews with Jamaicans who have excelled at home and internationally.
About the director
Perhaps most well known for the award winning Last King of Scotland Kevin Macdonald is also a documentarian. Macdonald won an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2000 as director for One Day in September and in 2003 Touching the Void won a BAFTA. He pioneered the user generated documentary format with Life in a Day in 2011 and his latest documentary Marley was released in April 2012 to stellar reviews.
