The new Bertha BRITDOC Fund for Journalism is an international film fund dedicated to supporting long form feature documentaries of a journalistic nature. We are looking for films that break the important stories of our time, expose injustice, bring attention to unreported issues and cameras into regions previously unseen (more info here).
The Bertha BRITDOC Connect Fund is the first European-based outreach and engagement fund, and is open to filmmakers from around the world. The fund is looking to support smart, strategic outreach campaigns for ambitious independent documentary films with a social issue at their core; films which have the ability to achieve real change on a local, regional or global level (more info here).
BRITDOC Circle is a brand new film fund to support the very best artistic and journalistic films being made by European filmmakers. A fund which complements existing international grant makers, state funds and broadcast partners for maximum effectiveness. (more info here).
After 9 fantastic years and more than 60 award winning films proudly funded, the Channel 4 BRITDOC film funding scheme has now closed. Whilst the funding has now ceased, Channel 4 and BRITDOC continue to work together to support documentary film through innovation in the field. (more info here).
The Catalyst Awards are to support filmmakers at crucial junctures of production, where a small cash injection could provide catalytic results. This could be for producing a fund raising trailer to funding a key shoot. Awards are open to emerging and established filmmakers working anywhere in the world.. (more info here).
